Let’s Find Out – A First Picture Science Book by Herman and Nina Schneider with pictures by Jeanne Bendick, published in 1946 by William R. Scott, Inc.
Let’s Find Out is a wonderful children’s book to help children learn by doing. It is a try-it-yourself book of elementary science for children 6-9 (or us adults who just find these old books to be very fun to look at!).
Some of the children’s questions answered in this book may seem more obvious than other, but can you explain, scientifically and simply, such typical ones as these:
Why does the teakettle sing?
Why does it rain?
Why do cold water pipes “sweat”?
and many more questions…
This classic book is in acceptable to fair/good condition. (I actually love that is looks used and loved by some child!) The dust jacket shows wear from use, the edges of the hard cover also show wear. The interior pages are surprisingly in good shape compared to the cover & dust jacket. The front page does have a name and year written on it, and some pages show very slight fingerprinting.
