1958 Good Housekeeping’s Around the World Cookbook – Great Condition

Published in 1958, this copy of Good Housekeeping’s Around the World Cook Book specialty recipes with a foreign flavor” is an excellent condition and looks unused. A very clean, crisp and tight copy for your collection! it also has the classic “only 39c” sticker on it. Some of these do, some don’t. I’m guessing the ones with the stickers were sold separately, while those without came in the binder… but that is just a guess.

Like the Culinary Arts Institute, Good Housekeeping published a series of these fun and funky cook-booklets filled with recipes ranging from weird to wonderful. They also document the great food photography and illustration styles of that era.

Around the World Cook Book is another fine one! Filled with fun illustrations, photos, and of course recipes. It has recipes from: Brazil, China, Cuba, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Haiti, Hawaii, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Mexico, The Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, and Turkey… wow! The recipes actually look quite good, and I have a few on my list to make.
