I really love it when designers think outside the box, and love it even more when their clients allow them to do so. This 1939 copy of The Mazola Salad Bowl is a prime example of this. The book is designed with a photo of a salad bowl on each right-hand page, and the book is die cut to have a rounded bottom to match the salad bowl. Brilliant!

This is a fantastic vintage cookbook for both the design, food photography, illustrations and the recipes! This copy is in very good condition considering its age. The edge wear and creasing on the cover is minimal considering this is 71 years old. The inside pages are VG+. The inside front cover has the stamp “Ralphs Grocery Co, Los angeles, Calif.”
