<p>Nice illustrations, including diagrams of the different cuts of meat from various animals.  Not a single recipe in here, but a great find nonetheless.</p>
<p>For a modern primer on meat (with recipes) I&#8217;d recommend &#8220;The River Cottage Meat Book&#8221;, combined with &#8220;Omnivore&#8217;s Dilemma&#8221;.   Eat local, and sustainable!</p>

Hickmano?  I&#8217;ve only found <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/84904494@N00/3116752667/sizes/o/" target="_blank">one other source</a> for that word on the internet&#8230; a photo of the recipe.  And other great titles such as &#8220;Let&#8217;s Have Canned Meats&#8221;, &#8220;Let&#8217;s Have The Last of the Meat&#8221;, and &#8220;When It&#8217;s Oysters&#8221;.  When It&#8217;s Oysters?  What the hell does that mean?  </p>
<p>It is actually a fairly good cookbook which is not only filled with good to odd recipes, but it has various list of menu ideas and other tips and tricks.  I look forward to finding other editions of the Good Housekeeping Cook Book to see how the design, art &amp; photos, and recipes differ from this great edition.</p>

<p>This cookbook was published by the PET Milk Company, with an unknown date.  Mary Lee Taylor is the &#8220;author&#8221;, so I am guessing this is from the 1930&#8242;s or 40&#8242;s.</p>
<p>The recipes in the booklet are, um&#8230; well, horrific in my opinion.  Okay, I&#8217;m being harsh&#8230; they are, uh.., &#8220;interesting&#8221; to say the least.  Recipes will follow as I find the time&#8230;</p>
