Frozen Foods - The Automatic Way published in 1931 by the Evaporated Milk Association in Chicago.

This is a classic little vintage cookbook that really makes me appreciate the style of the 1930′s! I love the Deco-ish cover design, and the pages are filed with charming illustrations.

Inside you’ll find recipes for… well, Mousse mostly! Yes, a bunch of mousse recipes using evaporated milk, everything from Chocolate Mousse to Prune Mousse. There are also salad recipes such as… Cooked Salad Dressing, Frozen Cheese Salad, and Frozen Fruit Salad.  You will also find a few sauce recipes such as Butterscotch, Chocolate, and Maple Pecan sauces.

So whether you are a fan of mousse, or a fan of illustrations from the 1930′s, this cookbook is for you!
