Nothing’s More Fun Than… Eating Outdoors by Jack Perz, Director of Camping, Indiana Council, Boy Scouts of America, with fabulous illustrations by the comic artist, Milt Youngren.  Published in 1955 by the National Dairy Council.  This mighty fine vintage cookbook comes from Gertrude’s Garret, one of my favorite sellers.

What can I say?  The comic art really makes this cookbook shine above all the other “outdoor cooking” cookbooks I have… and I have some cool ones!
