desserts_men_like Desserts Men Like – 20 Delicious and Eye-appealing Desserts, published in 1956 by the Tested Recipe Institute. This is a fun little cookbook, and being a man, I do like some of the desserts in it! Although, some are a little too weird for me. The cover has two great spot illustrations of 1950′s men really grooving on the gigantic strawberry shortcake right before their (cartoon) eyes. The food photography is quite nice, there are 15 pages of tasty dessert recipes… that men like. Mmmm… one of those chocolate eclairs would go good with this cup of coffee right now!

    Bravo, Richard! Yes, a gigantic slice-o-strawberry cheese cake would hit the spot right about now. Crap… I just had a look around and there is none to be found.
