Fun with Coffee

fun with coffeeThis one seems to be an appropriate vintage cookbook to start with on my “catching up” with updates!  Today I had too much coffee, and am still wide awake after a 13 hour workday.  So… why not update the Retro Cookbook site?!

Fun with Coffee was published in 1956 by the Pan-American Coffee Bureau.  It contains a good selection of fun illustrations from that time period, nice font design, not so horrible food photography (mostly black & white), and some interesting recipes.

The recipes range from coffee beverage recipes to desserts, pies, cakes & breads, cookies & candies, sauces and frostings and… “More Fun with Coffee!”   Hey, it even has a few coffee facts of interest!
