This week's find
This week my big finds were mostly vintage plates, and only two cookbooks. I’ve been looking for a set of Buffalo China Green Crest dinner plates to go with my other Buffalo China Green Crest smaller plates, bowls & cups, but have yet to find any. Monday I found a knock-off made by Sterling China. Similar to the BC crest, yet its own design. I ended up with six 10″ dinner plates and 6 coffee mugs. A great score! The other great score was a second vintage A. Sabella plate for my collection.
(I also bought this plate on ebay, making that my third plate and 2nd in two days.)
I also got a vintage Dazey Seal-a-Meal, unused, in it’s box. The 70′s packaging design alone is worth the $5 I spent on it! (Photos to come)
And while I showed great restraint in looking at vintage cookbooks, I did buy “For Variety Cook With Soup” by H.J. Heinz Co., (date unknown) and a “Mirro-matic Pressure Pan” recipe & directions booklet from 1958. Again, photos to follow, at some point.
If anyone has any A. Sabella plates like the one above, and you want to sell them… contact me!
